Purpose
To act as the polished, confident and hands‑on first point of contact at El Vista, a high‑volume premium venue in Circular Quay. This role ensures seamless guest flow, supports all areas of service, and maintains an exceptional guest experience while functioning as a key link between guests, the floor team and the bar.
Primary Responsibilities
Welcome all guests confidently, manage guest flow and seating, and make real‑time decisions during peak periods.
Run a section when required and assist both floor and bar teams to maintain smooth, coordinated service.
Manage VIP greetings, queue control and guest communication with professionalism and high situational awareness.
Support high‑volume service by running drinks, assisting during peaks and maintaining venue standards.
Uphold premium service standards while maintaining a polished, engaging presence at all times.
Operate as a leadership‑leaning role, acting as the bridge between guests and operational teams.
Skills and Experience
Strong background in high‑end, fast‑paced hospitality, ideally in hosting or leadership‑ready front‑of‑house roles.
Confident handling all guest types, from VIPs to high‑volume walk‑ins.
Excellent communication, situational awareness and decision‑making under pressure.
Proactive, self‑managed and comfortable working across all areas of the venue.
Team‑first mindset with the ability to jump in wherever needed and “get your hands dirty” during peak periods.
Polished, professional presentation appropriate for a premium, high‑profile venue.
