Epicurean is seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to support our dynamic kitchen team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. About the Role
As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Chef de Cuisine and kitchen leadership team to oversee daily kitchen operations, maintain high culinary standards, and lead a team dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will play a key role in ensuring consistency, efficiency, food safety, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing all aspects of kitchen operations and food production.
Lead, coach, and develop kitchen team members to achieve exceptional performance.
Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency meet Epicurean standards.
Monitor stock levels, ordering, and inventory control.
Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements.
Support menu development and contribute innovative culinary ideas.
Manage service periods effectively to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
About You
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, or premium dining environment.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Passion for delivering exceptional food and guest experiences.
Excellent knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations.
Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining high standards.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Relevant culinary qualifications and food handling certifications.
