We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Reservations Agent to join our dedicated team at The Westin and Four Points by Sheraton Brisbane

Role Overview:

As the Reservations Agent you will be responsible for handling guest inquiries and booking requests with accuracy and efficiency. Ensuring a smooth and positive experience. You will be the first contact person for potential guests, responsible for answering questions about availability, pricing, and special offers, as well as making, modifying, or canceling reservations. You will maintain accurate records in the reservation system, communicate guest preferences to the relevant departments, and often assist with upselling additional services to enhance the guest experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-centric approach to ensure guest satisfaction while supporting the hotel’s occupancy and revenue goals. Reservation Agents also collaborate with the front office, sales and revenue management teams to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contact for guest room bookings, handling reservations, and guest requests
  • Monitor and respond to guest feedback about the reservation process
  • Assist with forecasting and inventory management
  • Be thoroughly conversant with all hotel rooms packages, pricing and promotional offers.
  • Maintain current and accurate knowledge of Hotel events and events happening in our surrounding area
  • Manage the service express function for the hotel to monitor all incoming and outgoing calls
  • Handling and processing reservations and inquiries 
  • Pre-arrival checks against booking information  
  • Follow up on No-Shows and late cancelations
  • Lead and work closely with other members of the Reservations team
  • Promoting the hotel F&B Venues and other services and amenities. 

About You:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage large volumes of bookings and ensure efficiency
  • Proficient in using reservation systems, revenue management tools, and hotel property management systems (PMS, OPREA)
  • Work experience within reservations team within 4/5 start hotel environment
  • Must have passion & attitude with keen attention to detail and strong problem solving skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with guests, team members, and other departments
