Pastry Chef – Cibaria Manly, by Pavoni Plus Pty Ltd (the team behind a’Mare at Crown Sydney)
Cibaria Manly is a beachside Italian venue offering a diverse menu inspired by Italy’s best flavours—antipasti, pizzettas, pasta, pastries, cocktails, vino, and gelato. With a prime location opposite Manly Beach, exceptional food, and top-notch hospitality, Cibaria is set to become a local favourite.
We are looking for Pastry Chef to join our team and work with Executive Chef team, who have been with Alessandro Pavoni for over a decade to deliver exceptional pastry and dessert offerings to our valued customers.
Essential Requirements:
- Full Australian working rights
- Fluent in English
- Hospitality Qualifications and/or 12-36 months of employment experience
- Completed hospitality studies
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Positive attitude & attention to detail
- Excellent grooming and presentation
- Passion for delivering an outstanding dining experience
- Availability for weekend and holiday shifts
Nice to have:
- Food Safety Supervisor certificate
- Fresh pasta making – BONUS!
- Gelato making experience – BONUS!
- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine
Your Role:
- Work with the team on menu planning, recipe development, and tasting notes
- Ensure dishes are consistently executed to a high standard
- Train and mentor junior staff
- Maintain food health & safety compliance
- Assist in cost control and stock management
