The Bonobo by Raes is a unique hotel-apartment concept that pairs the space and privacy of a luxurious apartment with the convenience, service and atmosphere of a five-star hotel. About The Role

We’re looking for a Hotel Host to deliver exceptional guest experiences by providing warm, personalised and professional service throughout every stage of the guest journey, from pre-arrival through to departure.

Reporting to the Guest Experience Manager and Hotel Manager, you’ll welcome guests and manage arrivals, departures and reservations, respond to enquiries and resolve concerns as they arise, build genuine relationships by anticipating needs and creating experiences tailored to each guest.

Day to day you’ll complete reception duties including check-in, check-out and payment processing, maintain accurate guest profiles, records and room allocations, coordinate room readiness with Housekeeping, and keep the reception and lobby areas immaculately presented. 

You’ll also promote our accommodation, food and beverage, wellness and local experiences, and support overnight hosts. 

Experience and Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality, hotel reception, guest services or customer-facing roles
• Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Strong administrative and time management skills
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn hotel management systems.
• Strong knowledge of Byron Bay and the surrounding area, with the confidence to recommend and book local experiences for guests
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia (this is an ongoing role, not suited to short-term)
