The Role

The Kitchen Hand in Hospitality Services prepares, plates, and serves meals according to residents' dietary needs, ensuring smooth meal service in the kitchen and dining areas. They deliver excellent customer service and work with Carers and staff to provide a positive dining experience for Amana Living residents.

This role is a Permanent Part-Time role offering 28 hrs per fortnight at our Kinross Care Community – Lake House.

Week 1:

Monday: 15:00-19:00

Thursday: 15:00-19:00

Week 2

Monday: 15:00-19:00

Tuesday: 15:00-19:00

Wednesday: 15:00 -19:00

Friday: 15:00-19:00

Sunday: 15:00-19:00

Please note, you must be able to commit to all days/shifts to be considered.

 

What you'll do

  • Prepares and plates food, serves and clears away meals in line with food preparation schedules.
  • Maintains the food preparation and serving areas to state hygiene standards.
  • Maintains appropriate client interactions in line with the organisational values.
  • Considers client lifestyles and personal choice.
  • Maintains effective interpersonal relationships with others, utilising appropriate channels for assistance guidance and concerns.

What you'll need

As a Hospitality (Cleaning) Services worker, you'll play a vital role in creating a fresh, welcoming environment. You'll take charge of cleaning and laundry routines, ensuring every space shines and every linen is crisp—bringing comfort and quality to every guest’s experience!

Essential Criteria:

  • Evidence of Current Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
  • Successful completion of pre-employment physical and reference checks
  • NDIS Screen Check (or willingness to obtain at interview stage)
  • Willingness to attend a paid 1-day (Monday) induction at our Rivervale Training Institute
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to develop understanding relationships with residents.
  • Experience working in hospitality service roles, preferably as a kitchen in an aged care/hospital environment
