Our great local, Newnham Hotel, is looking for a passionate and hands-on Duty Manager to join our established leadership team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Duty Manager or Supervisor looking to further develop their leadership skills and progress their hospitality career within one of Australia's leading hospitality groups.

About the Role

As Duty Manager, you'll work closely with the Venue Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the venue. You'll lead by example, drive service standards, support team development and ensure the venue consistently delivers exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading shifts across food, beverage and gaming operations
  • Coaching, developing and motivating team members
  • Maintaining high standards of service, presentation and compliance
  • Managing cash handling, banking and end-of-day procedures
  • Supporting the delivery of functions, promotions and events
  • Driving a positive team culture and strong guest engagement
  • Ensuring responsible service and gaming practices are upheld

About You

You are a motivated hospitality leader who enjoys developing people, creating great guest experiences and leading from the front.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience in a Duty Manager, Supervisor or similar leadership role within a hospitality venue
  • Strong gaming operations experience
  • Experience training, coaching and performance managing team members
  • Proven experience with cash handling, banking and end-of-day procedures
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • A flexible approach to working evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • A passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences

  • Current RSA & RSG
  • RMLV
  • Approved Manager Licence
  • Availability to work nights, weekends and public holidays
