We are seeking a skilled Database Engineer to design, build, manage, and optimize enterprise-grade databases supporting critical business and government systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain relational and non‑relational databases

  • Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching

  • Monitor database performance and carry out tuning and optimization

  • Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies

  • Ensure database security, access control, and compliance with governance standards

  • Support production environments and troubleshoot complex issues

  • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams

  • Automate routine database operations and maintenance tasks

  • Participate in system design reviews and capacity planning

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar databases

  • Solid knowledge of SQL, performance tuning, and query optimization

  • Experience with backup and recovery tools (e.g., RMAN, native cloud tools)

  • Familiarity with high availability / disaster recovery solutions

  • Strong Linux/Unix operating system knowledge

  • Experience working in secure or regulated environments

  • Understanding of database security principles and access management

  • 3–8+ years of relevant database engineering or DBA experience (depending on level)
