STANLEY FOOD GROUP PTY LTD is seeking a qualified and experienced Cook to work across its full-service restaurants at various locations on the Gold Coast.

This is a full-time position focused on delivering high-quality food while supporting our mission to provide a new experience in Mexican hospitality. Candidates with a genuine interest in Mexican cuisine and hospitality are encouraged to apply.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a diverse range of menu items, including breakfast dishes, Mexican-inspired plates and other of our signature dishes, following set recipes quality standards
  • Monitor and uphold food quality at every stage of preparation and presentation, ensuring consistency before dishes reach the guest
  • Set up and operate service stations, coordinating with the kitchen team to keep service running smoothly and on time
  • Communicate food availability and wait times with the front-of-house team to support a seamless guest experience
  • Assist with stock management and ordering, including proper storage, labelling and rotation of food items (FIFO)
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures, keeping the kitchen clean and compliant at all times
  • Complete daily operational checklists and prep lists in line with our par levels and standards
  • Collaborate with kitchen colleagues to achieve daily service goals and contribute ideas to improve quality and efficiency
  • Regulate the temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment. 
  • Season, portion and plate meals, including sauces and garnishes. 
  • Prepare meals to accommodate special dietary requirements.

Required Skills & Experience: 

·                Minimum 1 year of work experience in a commercial kitchen environment, ideally in a fast-paced or high-volume setting

·                Formal training in commercial cookery (Certificate III/IV or international equivalent), or equivalent experience in preparing and cooking meals in a commercial hospitality setting

·                Proven ability to prepare and cook a diverse range of menu items, to consistent quality and timing standards

·                Familiarity with food safety and hygiene practices aligned with Australian standards

·                Effective communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively in a kitchen team environment

·                Availability to work across weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required
