Cleaning Supervisor – Avive Alphington

Summary

Avive Alphington is seeking an experienced and reliable Cleaning Supervisor to lead and support our cleaning team in maintaining a safe, hygienic and welcoming environment. The working hours will be: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.

The successful applicant will have relevant supervisory cleaning experience, ideally within a mental health, healthcare, hospital, aged care, disability services or similar environment. You will be responsible for coordinating daily cleaning operations and ensuring high standards are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, support and coordinate cleaning staff
• Allocate daily tasks and monitor work completion
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and infection control
• Complete regular inspections and quality audits
• Ensure cleaning procedures, safety requirements and site protocols are followed
• Manage cleaning chemicals, equipment and stock levels
• Respond promptly to client and site requirements
• Train and mentor team members
• Report and undertake any maintenance issues, incidents and supply requirements
• Maintain accurate cleaning and compliance records
• Promote a respectful, safe and professional workplace

About you

• Relevant experience in mental health or a comparable healthcare or supported-care setting
• Understanding of infection control, chemical safety and safe cleaning practices
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and lead a team
• Professional, dependable and compassionate approach
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work respectfully around clients, residents, staff and visitors
• Current police check and any relevant healthcare or disability screening requirements, or willingness to obtain them
• Appropriate work rights in Australia
