Cleaner - Salter Point WA

We are currently seeking a Cleaner to join our team at Riverside Retirement Village , Salter Point  . If you take pride in your work, enjoy working independently and value being part of a caring community, we would love to hear from you.

This position is 21 hours a week  . Start and finish times are negotiable , potentially suiting school hours or other commitments but the hours must be worked over 4 or 5 days.

About the role

As a Cleaner you will help maintain clean, hygienic and well presented shared spaces across the village. Your work will directly support the comfort, safety and wellbeing of our residents, visitors and staff.

You will work autonomously across community areas such as the Community Centre, shared facilities and apartment complex common areas, following established cleaning schedules and safety practices.

In this role, you will:

• Clean and maintain community areas, including the Community Centre, pool amenities and shared facilities
• Sweep, vacuum, mop and dust floors and surfaces, ensuring safety signage is in place
• Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, public areas and staff facilities, ensuring consumables are well stocked
• Operate cleaning equipment safely, including floor cleaning and sweeping machines
• Collect and manage waste and ensure equipment is stored correctly after each shift
• Maintain a friendly, respectful presence when interacting with residents, visitors and staff
• Follow BaptistCare policies, safety procedures and confidentiality requirements

 About You:

You will bring a strong work ethic, attention to detail and a genuine respect for older people, along with:

• The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
• A team‑focused attitude and willingness to support others
• An understanding of workplace safety and hygiene practices
• A current National Police Certificate and valid driver’s licence

Cleaning experience or a Certificate II in Cleaning Operations is desirable but not essential — we value attitude, reliability and alignment to our values.
