About the role:
BaptistCare Bethel in Rockingham is an 98-bed aged care facility dedicated to providing high-quality, person-centred care in a warm and homelike environment. Our Housekeepers play an essential role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming space for residents,contributing to their comfort, dignity, and overall wellbeing.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, this role involves performing a variety of cleaning and laundry duties, assisting with the movement of furniture and bins, and helping to keep household areas tidy and organised. A key focus is partnering with residents to take part in daily household tasks, promoting their independence, choice, and sense of purpose.
The housekeeper also follows infection control, food safety, and workplace health and safety standards, ensuring all equipment and chemicals are used safely and correctly. Effective communication and teamwork are essential, as the role involves engaging respectfully with residents, families, staff, and volunteers. Through this work, the housekeeper contributes to a caring and supportive environment where residents can truly feel at home.
Roster:
The role offers a weekday shift from 07:30 to 13:30 or 7:30-13:00pm

You are able to manage a busy and physically demanding workload while remaining flexible and responsive to changing priorities. You have strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
