As the Chef de Partie on the overnight shift in Star Café you will contribute to the efficient operations of one of our busiest venues, our team member dining room! The Chef de Partie plays a critical hands-on role in food preparation, supervising team members, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, and developing operational capabilities within Star Café.

A few of your responsibilities

• Ensure the quality and consistency of food served
• Coordinate section activity to maintain timing, quality, and consistency during shift
• Ensure all equipment is clean, operational, and safely used
• Assist in stock rotation, portion control, and report on low stock or wastage

What are we looking for

• Proven experience as a Chef in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Availability for the permanent overnight shift (between the hours of 10pm - 6am)
• Cert 3 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
• Experience driving quality and consistency, with a passion for a diverse range of food and a keen desire for continuous learning
• Previous experience with quality control in production and preservation
• Ability to ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchens
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
