Our Tea Gardens site, about two hours north of Sydney, places you right in the heart of Australia’s wild beauty. Kangaroos hop across the camp, while the vibrant birdlife and occasional possum add to the lively atmosphere.

At The Great Aussie Bush Camp (GABC), we believe every child and young person has the right to be safe, protected, and supported to thrive. As our Catering Coordinator, you will play a vital hands-on leadership role in delivering delicious, nutritious meals and an exceptional dining experience in a friendly, fast‑paced residential camp environment.

Your leadership will ensure high-quality food, safe practices, smooth service flow, and a welcoming dining atmosphere—contributing directly to the positive memories our guests take home.

This is a full time position with a rotating roster and some weekend work.

What you’ll do

Create Amazing Meals & Experiences

  • Lead the preparation and service of all meals to GABC’s high standards.
  • Guide and support a small, enthusiastic catering team.
  • Keep the dining room buzzing with great flow, friendly service, and positive vibes.

Champion Dietary Needs

  • Ensure all dietary requirements are catered for safely and accurately.
  • Maintain excellent records and uphold top standards in allergen management.

Keep Safety & Quality Front and Centre

  • Drive our Food Safety Plan and ensure all checks are completed.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and efficient kitchen operations.

Stay Organised & On Top of Things

  • Manage stock, ordering, and inventory like a pro.
  • Keep workflows smooth and admin tasks sorted.

What You’ll Bring

  • Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or strong industry experience working with Catering teams will be highly regarded.
  • Solid understanding of Food Safety Standards and HACCP.
  • WWCC and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • A friendly, proactive attitude, great organisational skills, and strong attention to detail.
