As a Catering Assistant at Aminya Centre, you’ll play a hands‑on role in creating a welcoming dining experience for our residents. From preparing light refreshments to delivering meals safely and on time, your work helps residents feel supported, respected and at home.
This casual role offers flexibility and meaningful work, with regular shifts available across:
6:00am – 2:00pm
9:30am – 5:00pm
1:00pm – 7:30pm
You’ll assist with food service, basic food preparation, reheating meals, and keeping kitchen and dining areas clean and safe. Your attention to detail and friendly approach will help us deliver a dining experience residents can rely on.

Assist with food service, meal delivery and basic food preparation
Ensure meals reach residents at the correct time and temperature
Support the Chef/Cook by reheating food and catering to dietary needs
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining and café areas
Follow the site Food Safety Program and hygiene standards
Provide friendly, respectful service to residents and visitors
Operate POS/EFTPOS systems (if applicable)
Contribute to a safe, organised and efficient kitchen environment

Experience working with food, including basic preparation
Experience in cleaning and safe use of chemicals
Good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure
Strong time‑management skills and attention to detail
Empathy, patience and a genuine interest in supporting older people
A commitment to safe work practices and infection control
