We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Casual Café Assistant to join our friendly team in a fast‑paced hospital café environment.

In this role, you will support the café team by delivering high‑quality products and excellent service to all customers, including patients, caregivers, staff, and visitors.

Your responsibilities will include efficient customer service, food and beverage preparation support, clear tables, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming café environment. A strong commitment to quality, teamwork, and productivity is essential.

Our café operates:

• Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 4:00pm

• Weekends: 9:00am – 2:00pm

This position involves a variety of shifts, offering great daytime hours and a healthy work‑life balance.

The Position

• Excellent customer service to all patrons of the café.

• Preparing and serving high-quality coffee

• Making fresh sandwiches and light meals

• Providing excellent customer service

• Maintaining a clean and organised workspace

• Supporting the team during busy service periods

You will have previous food preparation experience and experience within a Café and/or food service environment.

To be successful, you will have a basic knowledge of all areas of kitchen hygiene. Certificates I & II in Food Handling and Barista Qualification is desirable.

• Salary: $33.40 to $34.76 (included casual loading), plus 12% superannuation

• Casual position available

• Salary packaging up to $18,550 as a casual employee, you can salary package a percentage of your earnings each pay period.
