Located in Narre Warren, our cafe serves as a warm, welcoming space where people come together to enjoy great coffee and support a meaningful cause.
The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Cafe Allrounder/Barista to join our team. As a member of our staff, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages, and contributing to the smooth operation of the cafe. This is on Fixed term contract requiring a commitment from July 2026 to September 2026 and with the opportunity to continue on Casual basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring their experience at 80VC is enjoyable and memorable.
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, adhering to quality standards.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, handling cash transactions and operating the POS system with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the cafe, including the preparation and serving areas.
- Assist with food preparation.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment, embodying the values of 80VC and Palliative Care South East
Requirements
- Availability - Monday to Friday, 8:30am -1.00pm
- National Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check prior to commencing employment
- A current, Full Drivers’ licence for the State of Victoria
- Employees are required to maintain compliance with Vaccine requirements
- Current Basic Food Safety Cert. (Victorian).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Demonstrated hospitality experience
- Barista experience with an understanding of coffee
