As a Commis Wok Chef at The Star Gold Coast, you will have the unique opportunity to work alongside our talented and experienced chefs, honing your skills in a fast-paced, high-energy environment in one of our many outlets. This role will immerse you in the heart of our bustling kitchens, where you'll contribute to the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

A few of your responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of high-quality dishes, adhering to strict food safety and hygiene standards
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring efficient workflow
• Collaborate with the culinary team to execute menu items with precision and consistency
• Embrace a commitment to continuous learning, staying up-to-date with culinary trends and techniques

What are we looking for

• Previous experience working with Wok's in a busy kitchen
• Cantonese/Mandarin language skills highly regarded
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Adaptability and a team-oriented mindset
• Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays
• Passion for the culinary arts and a genuine love for food
• Certificate in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
