WA Stabilisation & Spray Seal Manager

Downer are now seeking an experienced Stabilisation & Spray Seal Manager to lead our stabilisation and spray seal operations across Western Australia.

Based out of Maddington, WA, this is a key leadership role responsible for driving performance, growing our market presence, and fostering an engaged, connected, and high‑performing team.

KEY TASKS

• Partner closely with business development and pre-contract teams to build market intelligence and identify new business opportunities. 
• Develop markets through consistent client engagement, customer feedback sessions and industry networking. 
• Present business plans, including acquisition opportunities, and represent Downer at industry forums. 
• Drive employee engagement, simplify communication, and support state-wide initiatives. 
• Ensure effective financial management including budgeting, cost control and debtor oversight.
• Lead high-performing teams with a focus on Zero Harm, quality, customer satisfaction and financial outcomes. 

ABOUT YOU

• Diploma of Project Management or equivalent senior management experience
• 10+ years’ experience in complex business and project management environments. 
• Strong understanding of road stabilisation, spray seal or broader surfacing operations, including delivery methodologies and risk management.
• Proven capability in managing complex, multi-site operational environments with competing priorities.
• Ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
• Experience contributing to business development activities such as market intelligence gathering, bid input and analysis of market growth/acquisition opportunities.
• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to manage complex operational risk in dynamic environments.
• A commitment to safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
