Job Title: Food and Beverage Attendants - Conferencing & Events
Position Overview
A Conference & Events Food & Beverage Attendant is responsible for delivering professional, efficient, and high-quality food and beverage service for conferences, meetings, corporate events, weddings, and special functions. The role focuses on set‑up, service, and breakdown of events while ensuring an exceptional guest experience in line with venue and brand standards.
This role ensures that guests attending conferences and events are well looked after, services run smoothly, and food and beverages are presented and served to a high standard.
Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Setup & Preparation
Set up function rooms according to event orders and floor plansPrepare tables, stations, buffets, bars, and equipmentEnsure cleanliness and presentation meet venue standards
Food & Beverage Service
Serve food and beverages during conferences, meetings, and eventsProvide plated, buffet, cocktail, or bar service as requiredMaintain a professional and attentive approach to guest serviceMonitor tables and functions to ensure guest needs are met
Guest Experience
Greet and assist guests in a friendly and professional mannerRespond promptly to guest requests or concernsWork collaboratively with kitchen and event teams to ensure smooth service
Operational Support
Assist with event pack‑down, cleaning, and resetting roomsHandle basic bar service if trained (where applicable)Follow schedules and event run‑sheets to ensure timely service
Compliance & Safety
Adhere to food safety and hygiene standardsFollow Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirementsMaintain WHS standards and safe manual handling practices
