The Role We are seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Manager to oversee restaurant operations as we open doors and establish our reputation. You'll ensure we operate smoothly, profitably, and to a high standard every day. You'll lead our teams, support service delivery, and ensure our people, systems, and menus keep the business performing at its best. Duties and Responsibilities: Service Excellence: You oversee the daily operations and performance of the hotel food & beverage venues including all team members, ensuring smooth running and exemplary guest service With a hands-on style, you lead by example – from jumping in to make coffee, serve plates, take orders and greet guests – you’re always on hand and customer-facing You lead by example when it comes to presentation and your team follow your lead – their uniforms, the dining and bar area and layout are always immaculate and to the highest standard Consistency is king – food and beverage presentation, style, portions, timing and quality can’t be faulted under your watch You liaise with Sales & Marketing to identify, execute and implement promotions, strategies and special events You’re always analysing the local market and current trends to ensure your offering drives footfall and continual growth   People Leadership: You commit to the five practices of exemplary leadership (Kouzes and Posner’s The Leadership Challenge) You lead and supervise by modelling the way. You coach, train and develop all F&B team members You hold regular team briefings and actively encourage participation, feedback and idea-sharing from the whole team You’re always on call both on-site and off-site for any issue or crisis management and you take the lead in managing any critical incidents that occur in the outlet You work with your General Manager and People & Capability Manager on any performance management, recruitment and team development   Budgets & Cost Control: You complete stocktakes and wastage reports on a monthly basis Working with the GM, EAM and Executive Chef, you ensure food costs are managed effectively, analysing budget variances and considering seasonal/hotel activity Rosters and coverage are effective, maintain cost effectiveness and are done timely Working with the GM and Finance, you set the financial forecasts and budgets for F&B and review expenses and revenue and profit generation   Skills and Experience: Hold formal qualifications in Hospitality Management (tertiary or vocational qualifications) 3+ years’ experience as a Food and Beverage Manager in a high‑end environment Experienced in opening a new restaurant (preferred) Strong understanding of financial management, planning and cost control Strong knowledge of Asian cuisine, culture and service standards Confident with food and wine pairing Capable leader with experience supporting and guiding teams end‑to‑end Organised, calm, personable and professional Hands‑on approach, comfortable stepping onto the floor when required Flexible, adaptable, and able to support a growing business   Why us?
