About the Role

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment throughout the Hospital. Working as part of a supportive team, you will deliver high standards of cleanliness across wards, therapy and consultation rooms, and public areas.

Key responsibilities may include:

• Cleaning patient rooms, wards, bathrooms and public areas
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and infection control
• Restocking housekeeping and cleaning supplies as required
• Safe use and storage of cleaning equipment and chemicals
• Removing waste and linen in line with hospital procedures
• Responding to cleaning requests in a timely and professional manner
• Working collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical staff
• Contributing to a positive and respectful team environment

Your Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate a good work ethic that includes punctuality, integrity, respect for others and a commitment to professional practice. In addition, you will hold the following skills and experience:  

• Experience in a cleaning/housekeeping role preferred but not essential
• Experience in a healthcare/hospital setting will be highly regarded
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team structure and independently as required
• Act in a professional manner at all times when dealing with customers and staff
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Requirements 

• Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months) 
• Depending on the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
