THE POSITION
Hands on leadership role requiring 95% hands on in the kitchen
Plan, supervise, and monitor the food production across functions and in house menu-based catering
Actively maintain a high standard of food safety, allergen awareness, and OHS
Lead, develop and inspire a small team of culinary talents
Maintain the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Oversee inventory, procurement, cost control and minimise food wastage
THE PERSON
Minimum Cert. III Commercial Cookery
Proven kitchen leadership experience leading a culinary team through busy service periods
Personable and ability to interact with clients and students alike
Proven experience multitasking and forward planning
Passionate about food and familiar with using seasonal ingredients to create outstanding and memorable experiences for clients and students
Good understanding of food trends, food safety and allergen management.
Working with Children Check
Flexibility to work weekends and after hours as required
