Greenfields is a suburb located in Mandurah, south of Perth. Greenfields is easily accessible from the Kwinana Freeway's new extension and on the Perth to Mandurah train line.

Aegis Greenfields is an 'ageing in place' facility with High Care, Low Care and Extra Services accommodation available and has been designed to offer a broad range of accommodation and lifestyle options for 106 residents

About You

In this rewarding role, you’ll help create a safe, welcoming, and comfortable home for our residents by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Your work will directly contribute to the wellbeing and quality of life of our residents, while being part of a supportive and friendly team environment.

In the Kitchen Hand role, you are a valuable member of the team working under the direction and support of the Cook/ Chef Manager. A working day will involve preparing resident’s meals according to dietary / care plans in accordance with developed menus and maintaining a clean working environment in accordance with infection control guidance.

You should ideally be an empathetic person who:

• Enjoys working with the elderly.
• Can work independently and as part of a team.
• Is reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
• Has good communication skills and interpersonal skills.

You should possess the following:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role (preferably in Healthcare Industry).
• Experience in food preparation and cooking for large number of people.
• A knowledge of food safety.
• Prior cleaning experience in a health care setting.
• Knowledge of infection control principles and commercial cleaning operations, including the safe use of chemicals.
• Have full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance.
