Job Description

We are looking for a Part-Time (30 hours per week) Food & Beverage Attendant to join our evening team. You are responsible for providing great food & beverage service to all our guests across all of our F&B spaces, Restaurant, Bar, Room Service & Conferencing. Your friendly, welcoming and efficient manner will ensure we keep our promise to our guests of friendly and helpful service throughout the hotel.

Key duties of this role include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Explain the menu to guests, assisting those with special dietary needs or preferences as well as provide suitable assistance when recommending beverages
  • Chatting and engaging with our guests during dinner service or event
  • Serving drinks from the Bar or deliver to table
  • Delivering room service orders  
  • Ordering and delivering food and beverage orders
  • Liaise with the Kitchen on special requests or delayed meals
  • Clear and reset tables as well as ensuring service areas are clean and tidy
  • Assisting the kitchen with dishes and cleaning 
  • Maintain standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation
  • Assist with Conference & Events, room set-up or pack down or working an event

Qualifications

As a successful candidate you will have:

  • The ability and flexibility to work a rotating roster for evening shifts (Need to be available for a 2.30pm start) and weekdays, weekends & public holidays
  • Your Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
  • A friendly, customer focused attitude with the strive to provide Total Customer Satisfaction
  • Initiative to ensure that interactions with our customers are positive and efficient
  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience
  • Confidence in liaising with various internal and external clients
  • A high standard of grooming and presentation
  • MUST have full working rights within in Australia

Additional Information

You will be employed under the Hospitality Industry General Award, Food & Beverage Grade 2. Pay rates for Grade 2 are Monday to Friday $32.31, Saturday $38.78 & Sunday $45.24
