Hospitality Staff (Food & Beverage Attendant and Kitchen Hand)
We are currently seeking casual hospitality staff to support our operations across events, functions and café service at our Port Melbourne location. This advert covers two casual roles, and applicants are welcome to apply for one or both.

Please note: There is no regular roster for either role. Shifts are offered on a casual, as‑needed basis, including weekdays, evenings and weekends, depending on events and business requirements.
 
Role 1: Food & Beverage Attendant (Events Focus)

This role is primarily focused on supporting functions, events and hospitality services, with the opportunity to assist in the café on a casual basis when required.

About the role
In this role, you will:
  • Deliver friendly, professional food and beverage service at events and functions
  • Assist with set‑up, service and pack‑down for events
  • Serve food and beverages in accordance with hygiene and food safety standards
  • Provide excellent customer service to members, staff and guests
  • Operate POS systems and manage cash and EFTPOS transactions when required
  • Support café operations on an ad‑hoc basis if needed
  • Follow all food safety, workplace safety and LSV policies and procedures
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Experience in food and beverage service, hospitality or events 
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
  • Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • A positive, team‑oriented and can‑do attitude
  • A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one
Role 2: Kitchen Hand (Casual)

The Kitchen Hand role supports back‑of‑house operations during events, functions and café service periods.

About the role
In this role, you will:
  • Assist with dishwashing and kitchen cleaning duties
  • Support food preparation and service as directed
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety
  • Safely handle kitchen equipment and follow procedures
  • Support kitchen and event teams during busy service periods
About you
You will ideally have:
  • Experience working in a commercial kitchen (desirable but not essential)
  • A strong work ethic and attention to cleanliness and safety
  • The ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to accept shifts based on operational needs
  • A current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one
