Location

Located in Kidman Park, Food Services (FS) provide all meals to 11 of our South Australian homes. Through FS’ quality controlled and HACCP monitored and approved environment, we ensure there is consistency in the quality of meals being delivered to our residents.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Chef to join our team at Kidman Park on a Permanent Part Time basis - 70hrs a fortnight (Monday - Friday). 

This is a busy HACCP approved Cook Chill Kitchen providing all Fresh Food requirements for the Aged Care Sector.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be mainly responsible for:

  • Ensuring all food service activities are completed in accordance with the Food Safety Program (FSP), Bolton Clarke Food Standards and as directed by the GM.
  • Assisting with the on-going development, maintenance and adherence of the Bolton Clarke Food Service's standardised recipe system.
  • Ensuring compliance with WHS.
  • Ensure that delicious, well-balanced and nutritional meals are planned and prepared based on the Bolton Clarke Standard Menu in consultation with the General Manager assisting with general food preparation, kitchen duties, stock control and continuous improvement activities. 
  • Ensure kitchen and associated equipment and crockery are clean and meet required hygiene standards in compliance with the FSP.
  • Ensure purchasing and ordering of all stock and equipment is according to the
  • Plan and manage the food and kitchen budget, in consultation with the General Manager.
  • Assist the General Manager with creating and maintaining an environment that ensures positive and cooperative working relationships.
  • Any other duties, as required or as directed by the GM.

About You

To be successful for this role, you must demonstrate the following:

  • A current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (essential)
  • Previous experience as a Chef is essential 
  • Flexibility & commitment to work extra hours is required
  • Knowledge of good hygiene practices
  • Professional presentation
