The OpportunityRedmond Park Retirement Living is located in the heart of Princes Hill, Redmond Park is a vibrant inner-city retirement community offering residents a rich and fulfilling lifestyle steps from Lygon Street, Carlton's cafés, and easy tram connections to the CBD. Our residents enjoy spacious, premium apartments alongside a full range of amenities. As our Chef Manager, you will be working closely with your small team of hospitality staff, leading the kitchen to success by providing exquisite hospitality services that exceed the satisfaction of all residents. Our Chef Managers are extremely hands-on, preparing daily meals and building relationships with residents.This is a permanent part time opportunity working Tuesday and Friday (12:00pm-8:00pm)   What we offer:   $37.57/hr + superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances    Paid Parental Leave and Purchased Annual Leave options Two (2) additional leave days per calendar year Employee Referral Program and Employee Assistance Program Discounts to Health Insurance and Retail & Leisure partner providers Be part of a friendly and supportive team in a caring retirement living community   You will:   Be responsible for all kitchen and dining operations - preparing meals for lunch & dinner services and creating fresh ideas in the kitchen Work closely with the team to deliver great service, ensure the restaurant is running smoothly and coordinating ideas for events and functions Monitor daily Food Safety and compliance checklists and ensure strict adherence to all OH&S policies Complete stock management of all goods including ordering, rotation and amendments Following up on day-to-day operational issues including adhering to schedules, cleaning lists and performance issues   What you'll bring:   Experience as a Chef in any kitchen setting (e.g retirement villages, aged care, cafes, a la carte settings, RSLs or pubs) Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (required) Qualified Food Safety Supervisor (desirable) Kitchen management experience (ordering stock, rostering and admin experience) Current Police Check clearance and minimum two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)   Who we areAs a leader in retirement living, with 30 years' experience, Aveo provides the stability and confidence to try new things and keep innovating.
