Position: Chef De Partie (38 hours a week)

We believe every plate tells a story. So, we’re searching for a Chef de Partie with a palate for serving up dishes that will create moments of delight. Whenever and wherever our guests choose to dine. Behind the scenes, you’ll ensure quality, maintain high standards and utilise your experience as a well-rounded chef. 

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Working closely with Head Chef & Sous Chef

• Following recipes and plate presentations to maintain quality standards

• Working in various sections of the kitchen

• Ensuring that IHG standards are maintained

• Assisting with organising special events and special food promotions 

• Maintaining a hygienic kitchen

• Preparing in advance food, beverage, material and equipment needed for service

• Providing direction to the Kitchen helpers, including Cooks and Kitchen Attendants

• Attending and participating in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled

• Training kitchen personnel in safe operating procedures of all equipment, utensils and machinery, as well as food production principles and practices 

What we need from you:

• Certificate in culinary (commercial cookery) preferred 

• 2-3 years experience in a fast paced kitchen, including supervising and training kitchen teams

• Food Handling Certificate

• Understanding of Food Safety standards and HACCP.

• Working rights in Australia

• Self-motivated, driven and energized in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
