As the Chef de Partie in the Events kitchen, you will support the smooth and efficient execution of high-quality food service for a wide range of events! The Chef de Partie plays a critical hands-on role in food preparation, supervising team members, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, and developing operational capabilities within the Events team.

A few of your responsibilities

  • Ensure the quality and consistency of food served
  • Coordinate section activity to maintain timing, quality, and consistency during shift
  • Ensure all equipment is clean, operational, and safely used
  • Assist in stock rotation, portion control, and report on low stock or wastage
  • Mentor, train, and support the development of Demi, Commis, and Apprentice Chefs within the team

What are we looking for

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a high-volume kitchen - Events/Banquet experience highly regarded
  • Cert 3 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
  • Experience driving quality and consistency, with a passion for a diverse range of food and a keen desire for continuous learning
  • Previous experience with quality control in production and preservation
  • Ability to ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchens
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays
