Located in Woolwich NSW, Cucinetta is an Italian restaurant currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Chef with a strong pastry specialisation to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing, cooking and presenting a variety of Italian dishes, desserts and baked products in line with menu requirements and quality standards
Leading the preparation and production of pastries, cakes, desserts and other baked goods
Assisting with planning and developing menu items, including seasonal desserts and daily specials
Monitoring the quality and consistency of raw ingredients and finished products
Maintaining high standards of food preparation, portion control and presentation across the kitchen
Ensuring kitchen and pastry preparation areas are kept clean, organised and compliant with food safety and hygiene standards
Checking stock levels, rotating ingredients correctly and assisting with ordering kitchen and pastry supplies
Operating and maintaining baking equipment safely and efficiently
Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times within the kitchen
Working collaboratively with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure efficient service during busy periods
About You:
At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Chef, including experience in pastry and dessert preparation
Sound knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, baking methods and pastry production
Ability to prepare a wide variety of desserts, pastries and baked products to a consistently high standard
Good understanding of food safety, sanitation and workplace hygiene requirements
Strong attention to detail, creativity and commitment to product quality
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
