Located in Rushcutters Bay NSW, Rosso Rushcutters is an Italian restaurant currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting a variety of dishes in line with menu requirements and quality standards
  • Assisting with planning and developing menu items, including contributing ideas for seasonal dishes and specials
  • Preparing authentic stone-fired Italian pizzas, fresh pasta dishes, and other menu items to a consistently high standard
  • Monitoring the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction
  • Maintaining high standards of food preparation, portion control and presentation
  • Ensuring kitchen areas, equipment and food storage areas are kept clean, organised and compliant with hygiene and food safety regulations
  • Checking stock levels, rotating ingredients correctly and assisting with ordering and minimising waste
  • Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times within the kitchen
  • Working collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods
About You:
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience as a Chef
  • Sound knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations
  • Experience preparing Italian cuisine, including pizzas and fresh pasta
  • Ability to maintain high food quality and consistency in a fast-paced environment
  • Good understanding of food safety, sanitation and workplace hygiene requirements
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time and priorities during service
  • Attention to detail, reliability and a strong commitment to maintaining kitchen standards

Salary: $79,000 - $89,000 per annum
