The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our Hospital Environmental Services Team.  You will be responsible for;

• Delivering patient meals and mid meals
• Keeping a clean, tidy and hygienic kitchen environment
• Washing up after meal delivery
• Basic food preparation whilst offering high standards of quality and service to customers and patients.

You must have flexibility to work weekdays and some weekends (including public holidays) across morning/afternoon shifts.  We have both permanent part-time (60hrs per fortnight) and casual positions available. 

About You

You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the following attributes: 

• Ability to work cohesively in a team environment
• A ‘can do’ attitude with a friendly disposition
• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment (desirable)
• Excellent customer service
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices and high standards of cleanliness.

Remuneration

On offer is base hourly rate of $27.30 - $29.83 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

• Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
