Casual Chef

Hourly Rate: Casual HEW 3 ($44.04 per hour + 11% superannuation)

Location: Geelong Waterfront Campus 

About the Role: 

The Casual Chef supports the day-to-day operations of the Waterfront kitchen. You must be quick-thinking and agile, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your strong verbal communication skills. Additionally, you should have the ability to work in a small team environment, producing high-quality food while maintaining an eye for detail.

To be successful, you'll have:

• Minimum 3 years of kitchen experience
• Proven skills in both ala carte and conference and events catering
• Must possess reliability, self-motivation, organizational skills, and excel as a team player
• Demonstrates a positive attitude
• The role requires the incumbent to apply and maintain a Working With Children Check

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Assist in delivery of events, functions and food for display 
• Organise, manage, and independently operate your assigned section
• Assist with order placement, overall cleaning, and general preparation tasks
• Adhere to health and hygiene standards
• Assist in fostering and nurturing a culture of professionalism and pride in the workplace
