The Opportunity

In this role, you will support the preparation and execution of breakfast kitchen operations, delivering high-quality dishes and exceptional dining experiences for our guests each morning. Working closely with the wider kitchen and Food & Beverage teams, you will ensure breakfast service runs efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.

As a hands-on team member, you will play an important role during busy morning breakfast service periods, supporting smooth kitchen operations and ensuring guests enjoy a positive start to their day.

Key Accountabilities

  • Prepare and execute breakfast menu items in line with hotel standards and service expectations
  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of breakfast dishes with consistency and attention to detail
  • Ensure breakfast kitchen operations is completed efficiently prior to service commencement
  • Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and food safety standards across all kitchen areas
  • Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and Food & Beverage teams to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines as directed by senior chefs
  • Assist with stock rotation, storage, and minimising food wastage
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health, and safety regulations
  • Support the kitchen team during high-volume breakfast service periods to maintain workflow and guest satisfaction
  • Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-focused kitchen environment

Profile

  • Previous experience in a similar breakfast or hotel kitchen environment preferred
  • Strong understanding of breakfast preparation and service operations
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and presentation
  • Team-oriented with a positive, reliable, and proactive attitude
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from senior chefs
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
  • Ability to reliably commence shifts as early as 5:00am
