A fresh chapter is opening on the harbour.
Adina Sydney Darling Harbour is reopening following a full refurbishment, a premium apartment hotel in one of Sydney’s most vibrant waterfront locations.
Located on King Street Wharf, only a short walk from Barangaroo, the CBD and ICC, the hotel offers 114 spacious studios and apartments designed to give guests comfort, flexibility, and space to stay their own way.
This is a rare opportunity to join the team ahead of reopening and help shape the guest experience from day one.
Introducing Shoreline Kitchen.
At the heart of the hotel sits Shoreline Kitchen, a new all day dining concept open to guests and locals alike. A warm, relaxed space where mornings are everything; where guests settle in, slow down, and let a great cup of coffee set the tone for the day. The coffee area is where Shoreline comes to life first, and we’re looking for someone who takes that seriously.
About the role
As a Barista at Shoreline Kitchen, you’ll be the first impression of the day for our guests, and that’s a role you take real pride in. You’ll bring craft and consistency to every cup, contribute to a warm, welcoming service environment, and be part of building something special from the ground up.
You’ll work alongside the Food & Beverage team, reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager. You’ll be guest facing, hands-on, and always close to the action, a key part of the Shoreline experience from day one.
What you’ll be doing
Prepare and serve high quality coffee with care and consistency, every time. From extraction to presentation, your attention to detail shows in every cup you put on the counter.
You’re a natural at connecting with guests, remembering preferences, reading the room, and making every interaction feel personal. Service isn’t just what you do; it’s how you do it.
Support daily café operations including setup, stock rotation, equipment care and cleanliness. You know that the behind the scenes work is what makes the front of house shine.
Keep up with coffee trends, origin seasonality, and sustainability practices. You love talking about coffee with guests and teammates alike, and you bring genuine enthusiasm to sharing what you know.
Show up with a collaborative mindset and a positive attitude. You’re the kind of person who lifts the room for your teammates as much as your guests.
About you
You’re enthusiastic, skilled, and love sharing your passion for coffee with others. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, take pride in your craft, and bring warmth to service that guests remember. You’re just as happy dialing in a new single origin as you are chatting through the menu with a first-time guest.
You’ll ideally bring:
Experience working in Sydney’s specialty coffee scene or a similar quality driven environment
A solid understanding of coffee preparation, equipment, and consistent extraction
A collaborative mindset and genuine willingness to learn and grow with the team
Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and mornings
