Sunset Tavern is located in the small, picturesque town of Karumba, situated on the Gulf of Carpentaria in Far North Queensland. Known as the place "where the sun meets the sea," Karumba is famous for its breathtaking sunsets over the water. This remote town is a gateway to the Gulf, renowned for its fishing, birdwatching, and unique outback-meets-coast experience.

Sunset Tavern is one of Karumba’s most iconic establishments, offering stunning views of the sunset over the Gulf. The tavern is a central hub for both locals and tourists, providing a welcoming environment to relax, dine, and enjoy the natural beauty of the region.

We're currently hiring for:

• Bar Attendant – Serve drinks, engage with customers (RSA required)
• Kitchen hand – Assist with food prep, dishwashing, and maintaining cleanliness to support our chefs and ensure a great service flow.
• Chef – Prepare quality meals, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to a great dining experience for our guests.

You don’t need to be experienced in all areas, just apply for the role that suits your skills and interests.
