The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Crown Melbourne's most elegant and sophisticated beverage destinations.

As Assistant Bar Manager, you will support the Bar Manager in leading the day-to-day operations of Atrium Bar, a premium Champagne Lounge renowned for its refined atmosphere, exceptional beverage offering, innovative cocktail program and personalised guest experiences. You will play a key leadership role in delivering elevated service standards, driving team performance and creating memorable moments for guests.

Working alongside a passionate hospitality team, you will help shape the culture, service excellence and operational success of one of Crown Melbourne's most iconic bar venues. With a strong focus on cocktails, mixology and premium beverages, you will contribute to maintaining Atrium's reputation as a destination for both classic and contemporary drinking experiences.

We're seeking an enthusiastic hospitality leader who is passionate about premium service, cocktails and beverage culture, thrives in fast-paced environments and is committed to developing high-performing teams.

In this role you will:

  • Support the Bar Manager in leading the day-to-day operation of Atrium Bar, ensuring exceptional service standards and memorable guest experiences.

  • Coach, motivate and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and engaged workplace culture.

  • Drive operational excellence through effective service delivery, outlet readiness and team communication.

  • Lead by example on the floor, providing hands-on support during service and championing Crown's service standards.

  • Assist in achieving financial and commercial objectives through labour management, cost control and revenue growth initiatives.

  • Maximise guest satisfaction by building strong relationships and creating personalised experiences for local, interstate and international visitors.

  • Support compliance, safety and responsible service requirements while maintaining the highest operational standards.

About You:

You are an experienced hospitality professional with a passion for premium food and beverage experiences and a genuine commitment to service excellence.

You bring strong leadership capability, commercial awareness and a collaborative approach that allows both guests and team members to feel valued, supported and engaged.

  • Proven experience in a Bar Manager, Assistant Bar Manager or Food & Beverage leadership position.

  • Experience working within premium, luxury or high-volume hospitality environments.

  • A strong understanding of bar operations, team leadership and financial performance.

  • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop and inspire diverse hospitality teams.

  • Exceptional guest service skills and a passion for creating memorable experiences.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management capabilities.

  • Experience managing service standards, operational compliance and workplace procedures.
