As per the SMOEA 2025, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12-months allocation to Advanced Trainee Metabolic Medicine will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills, and capabilities.

About the role
The Advanced Trainee provides inpatient and outpatient metabolic medicine care within WCHN under Consultant supervision. Working within the Metabolic Clinic, the role supports paediatric patients with inborn errors of metabolism and their families, while undertaking advanced RACP training and contributing to teaching, research and professional development activities.
