About the role

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Tour Guide to join the Cruise Whitsundays Whitehaven team on a full-time basis. In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to create unforgettable experiences for guests visiting the stunning Whitehaven Beach, putting your skills in exceptional service and safety at the forefront of their adventure. This position is physically demanding and offers a unique lifestyle roster, allowing you to immerse yourself in the beauty of the Whitsundays while sharing its magic with visitors.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences by providing consistent and high-quality service.
  • Offer memorable insights into the Whitsundays region, captivating guests with your knowledge and enthusiasm for the area’s natural beauty and cultural significance.
  • Ensure the vessel is maintained in a clean, tidy, and presentable condition for passenger transport, all while adhering to strict operational procedures and WHS requirements, including emergency response protocols that prioritise guest safety.
  • Safely secure and manage the departure of ancillary vessels, ensuring that every aspect of the guest experience is seamless and enjoyable.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-year experience in a similar Tour Guide role within the tourism industry.
  • Elements of Shipboard Safety Certificate, GPH or higher accreditation.
  • Qld RSA
  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and HLTAID015 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Advanced Oxygen Therapy.
  • Relevant hospitality qualifications (e.g., Certificate in Hospitality) and Bronze Medallion or Cert II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue) are highly advantageous.
