Do you have the gift of a good chat and a kind heart to share?

A warm and sociable elderly gentleman in a Residential Aged Care Home in Austral is looking for a mate to visit him regularly. Once a talented pastry chef, he has a lifetime of stories to tell, a love for bingo, and a deep appreciation for good company.

Your time, your presence, and a few shared laughs could bring genuine joy to his week. One hour could mean the world.

Impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

HammondCare

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of elderly people.
