We are currently looking for a permanent part -time Senior Cleaner at our Aegis Parkview facility in Redcliffe.

About Location

Aegis Parkview is a 79 bed facility situated on Drummond Street in Redcliffe. Drummond was a botanist and the four wings are named after native Australian plants. Accommodation comprises of extra service and dementia care wings. All rooms are single with a large ensuite bathroom and air conditioning. The different wings all have their own lounge and dining areas with large individual courtyards. The facility is surrounded by well maintained gardens. Aegis Parkview has a theatre room with a large screen for movie days which is enjoyed by the residents.

About Duties

As an important part of the team, you will be able to: 

• Provide Facility cleaning to a high Aged Care standard.
• Use equipment and chemicals in accordance with training methods.
• Provide a clean and homely environment for our residents.
• Lead the cleaning team in a positive and safe manner.
• Mentor and encourage the cleaning team.
• Assist with the 'On-Boarding' of new cleaning personnel.
• Liaise between Facility Manager and the Cleaning Team.

About You 

To be successful in this position, you will: 

• Have extensive previous cleaning experience in a health care setting.
• Be able to work within a team and independently.
• Be proactive, solution driven and reliable.
• Have high attention to cleaning detail.
• Knowledge of infection control principles
• Have a high level of English communication skills both verbal and written.
• Have full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance.
• Previous experience in leading staff will see you excel in this role.
