About the role
We are seeking a Hospitality & Housekeeping professional to join our team as a Reefsleep Host on a permanent full-time basis. This is a unique opportunity to deliver exceptional service to guests at Reefworld on the Great Barrier Reef.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide concierge services, including luggage handling
- Housekeeping of Reef beds and Reef suites
- Maintain Reefworld’s cleanliness and presentation.
- Adhere to schedules, procedures, and WHS requirements
- Serve barista-quality coffee and fine dining food & beverage.
- Assist with special occasions and events.
- Unique Lifestyle Roster: 8 days on, 6 days off (Wednesday to Wednesday).
- Shared accommodation and meals provided during your shifts at Reefworld Pontoon.
About You
The ideal candidate will be motivated and passionate about delivering exceptional guest service. You bring experience in both fine dining and housekeeping, coupled with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to high standards in all aspects of your work. As a team player with a positive "can-do" attitude, you will be a proud ambassador of Cruise Whitsundays.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have experience in guest accommodation or rooms division management
- Exhibit a high level of interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent relationship management
- Be reliable, self-motivated, and proactive
- Be a creative problem solver with strong adaptability
- Contribute to a positive team culture aligned with Journey Beyond
Requirements
- Elements of Shipboard Safety Skillset or higher;
- Blue Card/ Working with Children’s Check;
- HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid and HLTAID015 - CPR & Advanced Oxygen Therapy;
- Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol
- National Police Check;
- Ability to manage time and have strong organisational skills;
- Sound in-water swimming skills and physical fitness
