Job Description

As a Housekeeping Supervisor at Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the Executive Housekeeper to ensure our guest rooms and public spaces consistently exceed Accor’s high standards. With a strong focus on operational excellence, team leadership, and continuous improvement, you’ll help deliver an exceptional guest experience while nurturing a motivated and high-performing team.

Your sharp eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and ability to lead from the front will be essential in maintaining both the quality and efficiency of our housekeeping operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure standards are met and rooms are released on schedule
• Lead and support the housekeeping team during shifts, offering clear direction and hands-on assistance
• Oversee onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members to maintain service consistency
• Manage cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective use
• Assist in preparing staff rosters to ensure optimal coverage and labour control
• Support recruitment processes and actively coach team members to grow their skills and confidence
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, streamline workflows, and enhance overall performance
• Respond promptly to guest feedback and contribute to continuous improvement in cleanliness and comfort

You’ll Bring:

• At least two years of housekeeping experience, ideally within a hotel or resort environment
• A strong eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, guest-focused service
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to guide, motivate, and influence team members
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays
• Familiarity with hotel systems such as Opera (advantageous but not essential - full training provided)
