The Opportunity
We are seeking a casual Housekeeping Assistant to help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the smooth running of the hospital by ensuring all areas meet our high standards of cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain patient rooms, wards, and common areas to the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Make patient beds and manage linen distribution efficiently.
• Clean, restock, and correctly store equipment in line with hospital protocols.
• Work collaboratively within a friendly and supportive team environment.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff and colleagues to support shared goals and patient care standards.

About You

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate a good work ethic that includes punctuality, integrity, respect for others and a commitment to professional practice.

In addition, you will hold the following skills and experience:  

• Experience in a healthcare/hospital setting will be highly regarded.
• Must be available over a 7 day rostering period. From the hours of 7 am for morning shift and late finish of 11pm (occasional).
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team structure and independently as required.
• Acting in a professional manner at all times when dealing with customers and staff.
• A ‘can do’ attitude with a friendly disposition.
• Good communication skills.
• Full training will be provided. 

Remuneration: A base hourly rate ranging from $33.59 - $37.06 includes casual loading + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements

• Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
• According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
