Oasis Youth Services is an expression of the Salvation Army based in NSW's Hunter and Central Coast regions. Oasis delivers a range of youth programs and services for youth aged 12-25 to support their journey to independence. We seek a dynamic, passionate and hard-working café assistant to join our team.

About the role

We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Food & Beverage Attendant to assist with the daily operations within the Café.

This casual role involves assisting with the daily operations within the Cafés, providing quality customer service, processing sales and receipting money, filling orders, general food preparation, cooking and serving, cleaning, cash handling, and in particular, barista duties.

How you will make an impact

  • Provide excellent customer service, including friendly, attentive and proactive interactions with all clients and assist with purchases.

  • Prepare and serve food and beverages in line with required standards.

  • Review and manage stock levels, replenishing when required and escalating when stock reserves are low.

  • Complete open and close processes, including accurate record-keeping, in a timely manner.

  • Meet Occupational Health and Safety obligations & relevant legislation such as Australian Food Safety Standards.

What you will bring

  • At least 1-year industry experience including barista.

  • A valid NSW Employee Working With Children Check.

  • Computer skills (desirable).
