About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Front Office Duty Manager. The role will report directly to the Front Office Manager and is responsible for managing operations for the Front Office department.
Duties & Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- Oversee operations and maintain a highly visible presence in Front Office and guest contact areas. Ensure all organisational policies, procedures and guidelines are adhered to.
- In the event of any medical emergencies with overnight team to assist/cover Night Audit.
- Review arrival lists and anticipate guest needs. Maintain active liaison with Housekeeping, Guest Relations, Food and Beverage and Concierge to ensure exceptional guest service.
- Meet and greet VIP guests and attend to special requests. Escort guests to rooms as directed.
- Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge in order to explain and sell services and facilities to guests. Keep up to date current on guest, restaurant and functions activities.
- Coach associates in operational Local Standard Operating Procedures (LSOPs). Ensure new policies and procedures are communicated effectively to all associates throughout the Hotel.
- Manage and being accountable for accurately controlling the Duty Manager float/Reception Float.
Skills and experiences
- Previous experience in a similar role or front office supervisor will be highly regarded.
- Previous experience in Front Office operations, including Guest Relations and Reservations
- Ability to demonstrate a commitment to outstanding customer service.
- Possess a high standard of grooming and personal presentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite, Opera).
- RSA & First Aid Certificate
- Attention to detail, flexible and available to work on weekends and public holidays.
- Hold a current open manual driver's licence (where applicable).
