Description

We currently have a permanent full-time opportunity for a Chef to join our team in Richlands, QLD. 

Reporting to Canteen Manager you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services. Must be available to work Monday to Friday 6am – 2pm, NO WEEKENDS!

 

What You’ll Do (key responsibilities)

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

  • Menu Planning - Designing menus that are seasonal, cost-effective, and appealing
  • Food Preparation and service
  • Stock control and ordering
  • Sanitation & Safety - Ensuring cleanliness and compliance with health regulations.
  • Keeping up to date records

 

What You’ll Bring (experience required)

  • Must have Commercial Cookery or Chef qualification and Food Handlers certificate
  • 2-3 years in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Able to design a 4–5-week menu (3 meals per day) with variety
  • Exceptional Customer Service 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team Player
  • Focuses on quality
