Role Details

As a Cellar Door host you will passionately deliver an exceptional wine experience to visitors at the Berri Estates Cellar Door. In this role, you will be the face of our winery, supporting the Cellar Door Manager to deliver exceptional wine experiences to our visitors and showcasing some of the finest wines in our portfolio.

We are looking for a passionate individual to work in our Cellar Door on a casual basis 1-2 days per week (flexible with days). 

Your Key Accountabilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience to cellar door customers, acting as tour guide and experience host
• Showcase some of the finest wines in our Accolade Portfolio 
• Operate the cash register, including daily opening, closing and balancing duties
• Promote our wine club membership to visitors and sign up new members
• Undertake daily housekeeping duties to maintain the cellar door appearance
• Restock the cellar door and stock room
• Pick, pack and dispatch wine orders for customers

Other Accountabilities Include

• Understanding and passion for wine
• Ability to portray stories to others – both wine and history
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to work in a diverse team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with experience in a cellar door or the wine industry (highly desirable)
• No formal qualifications required.

What we need from you

• Responsible Service of Alcohol training (RSA)

• Must have drivers Licence
• This role involves occasional lifting of heavy objects

• Frequent manual handling of glassware for polishing

• Regular weekend work is required
