Position Overview
We’re seeking a passionate Casual Chef to join our team. In this role, you’ll prepare nutritious, child-friendly meals that meet dietary requirements and promote healthy eating habits. As a casual team member, you’ll enjoy the flexibility of working across a variety of shifts, while still making a meaningful impact on children’s wellbeing and being part of a supportive, passionate team.
Responsibilities
Prepare fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for children.
Cater to a variety of dietary needs, allergies, and cultural preferences.
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organisation.
Support educators in promoting healthy eating and nutrition education.
Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience as a Chef/Cook, ideally in childcare, school, or similar environment.
Certificate in Food Handling/Safety (mandatory).
Strong knowledge of child nutrition.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Positive, flexible, and team-focused attitude.
